Tape perimeter of the wall (optional if you are confident).

Cut in edges of the wall*.

With a loaded roller on an extension pole, start from the middle, rolling in a straight up-down motion, having the paint just touching the area you previously cut in.

Lay off** before moving onto next area.

After the first roller width, roll a bit away and roll paint towards already painted section overlapping the sections to ensure a smooth finish.

**To lay off, in one motion starting from the bottom or top, gently glide your roller up and down the surface of the paint to smooth out any harsh lines.
