1

Soak paint brush for 10 minutes in an inch of water (water-based paint) or turpentine (oil-based paint).

2

Load you brush by dipping the end one third of the way. Tap on the side of paint pot to remove excess paint (do not wipe! This will remove too much paint).

3

Paint a line 40-50cm long, away from the edge first. This will help unload some paint.

4

Angle your brush on a 45-degree angle with the tip pointed towards the edge and carefully cut in, no need to put extreme pressure down on the brush when cutting in.

5

Using the flat side of the brush, evenly spread remaining paint.

TIP:

For beginners who need extra guidance and more precision, consider using an angled brush.
